MORE OF A COMMISSION [link] DONE FOR THE WONDERFUL :iconwillitrig:

Remember this [link] from awhile back? Well, there's actually three more installments! And here is the next one of those, where Liz, having transformed from a woman into a horrible monster, proceeds to transform into FAR, FAR MORE horrible monster. And the earth, meanwhile, transforms into a far more doomed and hopeless place.

This is far from the first or last time that earth/life/the universe/everything has had to take one for the team in a sequence, but this tale...and its somewhat horrifying leading lady-turned-demon beast...is a fair bit darker than most.

Well looks like we need some broken characters to defeat this girl.

"Skreee"?
Well, I suppose actually spelling out what her roar sounds like would be impossible. I'll settle for "skreee" and assume it's supposed to be a Godzilla roar.

Saxxon actually isn't too far off on that; read some of the newest Godzilla comics being published by IDW-- they do actually vocalize Godzilla's roar on page, and it comes out sounding something like this: SKKRRREEEOOOOONNKK! Which is, if you listen carefully to most of the 'introducing himself' roars that Godzilla lets fly in most movies when he first appears, that pretty much sounds like it. Now the *pitch* may vary from movie to movie (Godzilla 1985, he sounded like he was doing his impersonation of Christian Bale portraying Batman),but, that's what Godzilla's roar has been pretty much confirmed as sounding like.

"Monsters are supposed to be fun."

Not if you saw the first Godzilla film. It's usually the first works in a genre that are the most subversive.

...wow. Just, WOW. I thought the first one was *great* (you have a real talent for transformation and not just 'basic' growth), but this? This *blows it away*, hands down. I had just about given up hope that the next installment of this piece would ever come...then the 'Third Letter to the Goddess', and then this. Saxxon, can you ever forgive me for losing faith?

In any case, this installment was the best yet-- Mad Jack above me so astutely put it that without the capacity of Liz to emote (beyond mindless rage and lust for destruction), the prose has to pick up the slack, and it does so superbly (I also in particular loved Liz's internal 'monologue', and would like to see more of it in parts III and IV)...I, for one, am also in awe of *what's to come*...if Liz has grown this mighty, this powerful, this *horrible* only halfway through the story, what's to come? Lizthulu? Liz vs. Cthulhu?

...no, even Cthulhu would come out, see Liz, go 'YIKES!' and ooze on back to his slumber (right before Liz would probably gobble him up like a juicy piece of calamari...and then grow so horrid as to drive people insane via her mere *presence*). But enough of my irrelevant tangent-- THIS. IS. AWESOME. Personally, one of MY all time favorite pieces of yours, and one of your best works, period. More, please (as soon as time and other commitments allow, of course)!

Long-time lurker, first-time commenter: the prose portions of this piece (Alliteration!) really, really sell it. The artwork is totally solid, but because Liz now lacks the facial features to emote, the prose has to carry the extra weight, and does so really well. The dueling internal dialogue in part one was also incredibly good, and it's a bit of a shame that it's gone. But this new part makes up for it well.

Saxxon's gallery, for those who look out at the universe and say "It'll have to go.".
